We are pleased to announce that they are currently seeking an experienced Environmental and Sustainability Manager to join their team. This position will be based on-site in Amsterdam.
Lead the implementation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan, ensuring construction methods, procedures, and documentation meet all environmental obligations and client expectations.
• Site Training, Awareness & Best Practice Guidance
Deliver toolbox talks, training sessions, and ongoing guidance to raise environmental awareness, promote responsible behaviour, and ensure best practice is consistently applied on site.
• Pollution Prevention, Emergency Preparedness & Incident Response
Manage spill-kit availability and training, run emergency preparedness exercises with the H&S and site management teams, and coordinate responses to environmental incidents with effective corrective actions.
• Air, Water & Ecological Protection Monitoring
Monitor site emissions (including NOx/NH₃), ensure drainage and watercourse protection is maintained, verify compliant water discharge, and address any environmental risks or non-compliance.
• On-Site Oversight, Audits & Reporting
Conduct regular site walkovers, oversee medium- and high-risk operations, audit environmental permits and controls, maintain the site complaints register, and prepare monthly Environmental Progress Reports.
• Client Coordination, Governance & Certification Support
Participate in client and project meetings, coordinate with the client’s LEED practitioner to support inspections and documentation for achieving the LEED Platinum certificate, update environmental information points, and exercise stop-work authority where required to maintain compliance.
Must have 6+ years’ experience in a similar role on large-scale construction projects (preferably Data Centres)
Must have EU Passport or RTW in Sweden
